MOVE YS
Beta · free · not in app stores yet

Questions, straight answers.

Including the ones where the answer is “no” or “we don’t know yet”. Where the name comes from, how to install on Android, what it costs and where your voice goes. Didn’t find yours? Email move-ys@pomogatorapp.ru.

Why is it called MOVE YS?

Say it out loud: move your ass. A bit cheeky, but honest — the world has plenty of apps for planning beautifully and doing nothing. MOVE YS takes the busywork of logging off your hands — say one sentence to Mo and it’s filed in the right sections — so your energy goes into doing, not filling in fields.

Can I use it already? Where do I get it?

Yes — there’s a beta, and it’s free. Android: an APK from the Android page. Windows 10 and 11: an app with desktop widgets. Any browser: move-ys.ru/app. Telegram: @MoveYS_bot.

We’re not on Google Play, the App Store or any other store yet. A beta is a beta: expect the odd hiccup — the terms say so plainly in section 3.1. What’s still missing is on the roadmap.

How do I install MOVE YS on Android?

Five quick steps:

  1. Open the Android page in Chrome or Samsung Internet — not in Telegram’s built-in browser.
  2. Download the file.
  3. Open it and allow installs “from this source”.
  4. Tap “Install”.
  5. If Play Protect asks, tap “More details” → “Install anyway”.

On Samsung, switch off “Auto Blocker” in security settings first — with it on, the phone silently refuses anything not from a store. Brand-by-brand guides (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Honor, Pixel) are on the Android page.

Android says “App not installed” or Play Protect freaks out. Is it unsafe?

No. The file is signed with our key, and its SHA-256 fingerprint is listed on the download page for anyone to check. Android double-checks simply because the app didn’t come from Google Play.

When an install fails, it’s almost always one of three things: Samsung’s Auto Blocker, downloading inside Telegram’s built-in browser, or an older MOVE YS already on the phone (“conflicts with an existing package” — uninstall the old one and install again). Every error is covered on the Android page.

How much does it cost?

Nothing while the beta lasts. There are no paid features at all: no subscription, no in-app purchases, no premium sections. Nobody asks for your card. Mo does have a weekly per-person usage limit — settings show how much is left, as a percentage.

Pricing for the regular version hasn’t been set, and inventing a number now would be fiction. What you use for free won’t turn paid retroactively without notice — that’s written into the terms of use, section 10.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. The app works fully offline — on the subway, on a plane, at the cabin — exactly like at home.

The server only exists to keep your phone and computer in sync. It hands back strictly your own data: every storage query asks who owns the entry, and a source-code check refuses to build the app if a new query forgets to.

Does Mo send my voice somewhere?

Understanding speech requires a call to a language model — that’s the only reason Mo needs the internet. Everything else in the app works without it. What exactly is sent, and on what legal basis, is in the privacy policy (in Russian), along with how the Russian and international versions differ and why the international one isn’t in force yet.

What does the Telegram bot do?

@MoveYS_bot is the same Mo, just in Telegram: send text or voice messages, entries land in the same sections, and reminders arrive right there. It only processes voice messages after you’ve given consent.

To link the bot to your account: in the app, Menu → “Telegram bot” → “Open the bot” → “Start”.

Can Mo do things for me — call someone, order stuff, send money to a person?

No, and that’s deliberate. “Call”, “order”, “send” get saved as tasks, not executed. The app never acts on the outside world.

The only money transfers Mo makes are between your own accounts inside the app — an entry in your wallet, not a bank transaction.

What if Mo gets me wrong and messes something up?

Three safeguards. One: before touching an entry, Mo checks that you actually mentioned it — if you didn’t, it stays put. Two: section scoping — say “delete the project Kitchen Renovation” and it only looks among projects, so a note with the same name survives. Three: the trash — deleting is always soft, and everything can be restored.

If it’s still unsure, it asks instead of quietly guessing.

Can I use the app without voice at all?

Yes. Every one of the 31 sections works by hand, like a regular planner. Voice is the faster way, not the only way.

What does it run on — phone, computer?

Android — as an app with home-screen widgets. Windows 10 and 11 — as an app with desktop widgets. Any browser on any device — the browser version, which adapts to your screen. And Telegram, via the bot. No dedicated iPhone app yet.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Your account and everything under it on the server are erased for good. Entries on your devices go away the next time the app starts, or together with the app itself. Server backups live no longer than 30 days, as the law requires. The only thing kept permanently is a record that the deletion happened — also a legal requirement, and none of your entries are in it.

The full procedure is on the account deletion page. You don’t need to install the app for it.

Do I need to show a passport or other ID?

No. The app doesn’t collect them, so there’s nothing to check them against. Even for account deletion we only ask for your account name.

Any ads, trackers, data selling?

No. Not in the app, not on this site. The page you’re reading makes zero network requests: no external fonts, images, analytics or cookies — save it as a file, open it offline, and it works the same.

Why are there no screenshots or reviews here?

The screenshots we have show an old version, and passing them off as the new one would be cheating — it’s easier to open the browser version and see it live. No reviews or user counts because we don’t make them up. Adding either “for looks” is exactly the kind of trick that makes people stop trusting sites like this.

Didn’t find your question?

Write to us — we’ll answer as straight as we do here. Data questions and account deletion requests go to the same address. And Mo himself is waiting on Telegram.
