The “Record” widget
Long-press an empty spot on your home screen → Widgets → MOVE YS → drag “Record” onto the screen.
A step-by-step plan with pictures: what to tap and where. Until the app is in the stores, your phone will ask for permission once — we show you every screen.
Hold on: you’re inside a messenger
The file won’t install from here: the messenger needs its own permission, and Samsung’s Auto Blocker never lets messengers install anything. Tap the button — or ⋮ / … in the corner → “Open in browser”.
≈ 2 minutes · 7 steps (9 on Samsung) Why so many steps?

If you’re reading this inside Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram or another app — tap ⋮ (or …) in the corner → “Open in browser”. Chrome or Samsung Internet both work. Already in a browser? Skip to the next step.
Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker → off. Your phone will ask for your PIN or fingerprint. While it’s on, a Galaxy won’t install anything from outside the stores and just says “blocked” — even a perfectly good file.
Tap the button below. Chrome will warn that this kind of file can be harmful — tap “Download anyway”. It says that about every app that doesn’t come from a store.
When it finishes, tap “Open” at the bottom of the screen or in the notification shade. Missed it? The file is in Files → Downloads (on Samsung: My Files → Downloads).
Your phone will say it isn’t allowed to install unknown apps from this source. Tap Settings → turn on Allow from this source → go Back. You only do this once. On Android 17 the prompt asks right away “Allow Chrome to install apps?” — tap Always (or Only this time).
Samsung: Settings → Apps → ⋮ → Special access → Install unknown apps → Chrome (or My Files) → allow.
Xiaomi · Redmi · POCO: Settings → Privacy protection → Special permissions → Install unknown apps → Chrome → allow.
Huawei · Honor: Settings → Security → More settings → Install apps from external sources (on Honor: Install unknown apps) → Chrome → allow.
Pixel & stock Android: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Chrome → allow.
OPPO · realme · OnePlus: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → Chrome or Files → allow.
vivo, Tecno & others: Settings → Security (or Apps → Special access) → Install unknown apps → your browser → allow.
If Play Protect pops up (“unsafe” or “unverified app”), tap More details → Install anyway. It greets every file from outside the store that way — it’s not about us. Says “conflicts with an existing package”? Uninstall the old MOVE YS and try again — your data lives on the server.
Xiaomi · Redmi · POCO: the phone scans the file first — wait for it, the Install button wakes up after a few seconds. If “Security mode” gets in the way, tap ⚙ in the installer and switch it off for now.
Huawei · Honor: if “Pure mode” is on, pick “Install anyway” or turn it off: Settings → System & updates → Pure mode. HarmonyOS NEXT (HarmonyOS 5) can’t install APKs at all — use the web version there.
Pixel & stock Android: if Advanced Protection is on (Android 16+), installs from outside the store are blocked entirely: Settings → Security & privacy → Advanced Protection → off.
OPPO · realme · OnePlus: the phone may ask for your OPPO / realme account password — that’s its own check. On “this file may be harmful”, tap Continue.
vivo, Tecno & others: the built-in security check will suggest “Uninstall” — choose “Install anyway” or “Continue installation”.
Tap Open and sign in with the same login and password you use on the website — all your entries sync in. No account yet? Create one right in the app.
When the app asks, tap Allow: no notifications means no reminders, no mic means no voice. Then: Settings → Apps → MOVE YS → Battery → Unrestricted — otherwise the phone will put your reminders to sleep.
Xiaomi · Redmi · POCO: also turn on Autostart: Settings → Apps → MOVE YS → Autostart.
Huawei · Honor: Settings → Battery → App launch → MOVE YS → Manage manually → turn everything on.
Same path: Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker → on. MOVE YS stays and keeps working. For the next update you’ll need to switch it off for a minute again.
Done. Tell Mo your first thing — say, “call mom tomorrow at nine” — and watch where it lands.
In plain words
Short version: your phone is protecting itself — the file is fine. And it’s temporary.
MOVE YS isn’t on Google Play, RuStore or the Galaxy Store yet. By default a phone doesn’t trust apps downloaded from the internet — so it asks.
“Harmful file” warnings and Play Protect show up for every app from outside a store. Our file is signed with our own key and tested on Android 15, 16 and 17.
On recent Galaxy phones Auto Blocker is on out of the box and blocks EVERY install from outside the stores — even legit ones. Until it’s off, there’s simply no Install button.
A messenger needs its own install permission, and Samsung’s Auto Blocker never grants it to messengers. Hence Chrome.
Once MOVE YS is in the stores, all of this goes away: one Install button, and updates arrive on their own.
If something went wrong
| What the phone says | What to do |
|---|---|
| “Blocked by Auto Blocker”, “unauthorized sources” (Samsung) | Turn off Auto Blocker — the Samsung step |
| “App not installed”, “conflicts with an existing package” | MOVE YS was already installed (say, a test build) — uninstall it: Settings → Apps → MOVE YS → Uninstall, then install again. Your data is on the server and comes back after sign-in |
| “There was a problem parsing the package”, “package appears to be invalid” | The download was incomplete. Delete it from Downloads and download again in Chrome, ideally on Wi-Fi |
| “Not compatible with your device” | Get the universal build — link under the button at the top |
| “Not enough storage” or the install just stops | Free up at least 500 MB: you need room for the file and for the app itself |
| “Blocked by Play Protect”, “unsafe app” | More details → Install anyway. No such button? Play Store → profile icon → Play Protect → ⚙ → temporarily turn off “Scan apps with Play Protect”, install, turn it back on |
| “Not allowed to install unknown apps from this source” | Allow the app you’re opening the file with: Settings → Apps → Chrome (or My Files / Files) → Install unknown apps → allow |
| Installing into Secure Folder, Second space or a work profile | Install into the phone’s normal space |
| “Unverified developer” (Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand) | Since 30 September 2026 Google only allows verified developers in these countries — the file won’t install there yet. Use the web version |
